July 4, 1988: Roger Taylor’s The Cross release “Manipulator”

On 4 July 1988, Queen drummer Roger Taylor‘s own band The Cross, released the non-album single “Manipulator” in the UK and Germany.  It failed to chart in the UK. This track is a one-off writing collaboration with Steve Strange of the group Visage.

The b-side was “Stand Up For Love”, from the band’s debut album Shove It.
