Doctor Who: Recording begins on ‘The Mind Robber’ with a fake Jamie

Other_JamieFrazer Hines, who played the Second Doctor’s companion, Jamie McCrimmon, was unavailable for the start of recording the story ‘The Mind Robber‘ due to contracting chicken pox.  Hamish Wilson stepped in and he appears in episodes 2 and 3.

In episode 2, Jamie attacks a Redcoat soldier, believing to be back in his own time, but the soldier shoots Jamie, turning him into a cardboard cutout without a face.  The Doctor attempts to reassemble Jamie’s face with some pictures of faces he finds but gets it wrong.  Jamie comes alive but looking completely different.  In episode 3, the Doctor, with the help of Zoe, returns Jamie’s face to normal after being shot and turned to cardboard again.
